Mexico

Just backdating this blog slightly - ok, to January, as suggested by Becky.

This past January, my good friend Becky & I took a vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This little seaside town is super touristy, but we went off-season and (thanks to my Aunt Chris's rockin timeshare), we got to stay at a lovely resort right on the Pacific Ocean.

Each day we had various activities planned (everything from lounging by one of the pools and watching water aerobics, to zip lining through the Mexican jungle), but every moment was great.

Lots of adventures to talk about - that day we took a tiny boat to a seaside town called Yelapa, and the guys who offered to be our tour guides, and subsequently let me drive the boat partially back to the mainland! Or the time we took a bus to the sleepy little surf town of Sayulita - and laid on the beach looking for surfer boys all day.

Some of the greatest moments were zip lining through the Mexican jungle and the relaxed walks through town.

I think it was the perfect vacation- the best mix of rest, activity, and total fun. B & I are good travel buddies - and are hopefully planning more exciting trips in 2010!
